Do you want to help us in the conservation of the cliffs in the Costa Brava?
If you love plants and coastal habitats, come and find out how you can take part in the LIFE medCLIFFS Volunteers Network!
LIFE medCLIFFS has a Volunteer Network for the monitoring and surveillance of invasive alien flora affecting Mediterranean sea cliffs. All ecological and biological data collected by these volunteers are used to model and predict the risk of invasion in priority areas, being essential to define the best strategy for action against each invasive alien plant.
Come and join us in a guided botanical route along the coastal path of Blanes!
Led by botanical experts, you will be able to observe and learn to recognise alien plant species, many of which have escaped from gardens. Some of them are invasive and have or may have an impact on both biodiversity and the conservation of the cliffs of the Costa Brava with endemic flora.
Also, you will know all details on how you can become part of the LIFE medCLIFFS Volunteer Network, so, if you want, you can register and contribute to the conservation of the Mediterranean sea cliffs.
Let’s meet together in Blanes on 14th July!
Free registration until 11th July 2022
IMPORTANT! The activity is addressed to young people (minimum 16 years old) and adults. It will take place on rocky terrain and in full sun, so we recommend that you wear comfortable shoes with non-slip soles, light clothing with long sleeves, a cap, sun cream for the parts of the body exposed to the sun and enough water for the whole route. If you want, you can bring a small breakfast or snack.
