Throughout the year 2022, the members of LIFE medCLIFFS have carried out a total of 15 dissemination activities, including activities organised by the project itself (7) or by local entities supporting LIFE medCLIFFS (8).
Among the activities that have been carried out, three talks have been addressed to scholars and young people, two routes aimed at the public interested in the knowledge of the flora and one talk has been aimed at the public of the ornamental plant production sector. All these activities were mainly addressed to the general public, with the aim of promoting the project and citizen participation.
The activities that were organised by LIFE medCLIFFS were carried out between May and November 2022:
- Four botanical routes in different locations of the Costa Brava (Lloret de Mar, Blanes, Cadaqués and Calella de Palafrugell) to promote both the Observers Network and the LIFE medCLIFFS Volunteer Network, the two citizen science networks created for the detection and monitoring of alien flora in the Costa Brava.
- An informative talk at the Catalan Flower and Ornamental Plant Market in Vilassar de Mar to present LIFE medCLIFFS and to publicise the prevention tools that will be created.
- An informative exhibition about the project, habitat 1240 and its endemic flora in Cap de Creus, as well as on the most aggressive invasive plants affecting this area, was shown in the Tourism Office in Llançà and in Palau de l’Abat in Sant Pere de Rodes.

Apart from the dissemination activities, two press releases have been released about the project and its development. We have participated also in a local online-TV program (minute 18:45) and in a local radio program, to raise awareness on the issue of invasive plants.
