On Saturday, April 5th we will return to L’Escala, but this time we will focus on a lower track closer to the sea. The main goal of this trip will be to see the only observation of Fallopia baldschuanica of the project. This will be a great occasion to observe the rarest plant monitored by the LIFE medCLIFFS. We encourage you to come and see this uncommon plant in the project area. Maybe after Saturday, you will find it again in your transect and you missed it before.
Besides the Fallopia baldschuanica we will keep an eye on the cracks and crevices of the rocks to see if we can find a Mediterranean endemic species that in the Iberian Peninsula is only found in certain spots of the Costa Brava. We are talking about the Silene sedoides, a small Caryophyllaceae of crass leaves as its name suggests (sedoides = “Sedum-like”).
Like in previous trips, the Flora Catalana form must be completed.
The trip will be from 11h to 13h.
The meeting point will be the parking lot in Travesser Street, L’Escala 📌
