Guided visit to Marimurtra Botanical Garden with LIFE medCLIFFS

Guided visit to the Marimurtra Botanical Garden coinciding with the celebration of the Setmana de la Natura, in collaboration with the Marimurtra Botanical Garden.

During the visit, we will stop in the area of the American desert to talk about invasive plants from this area, such as Opuntia, with special attention to Opuntia ficus-indica, one of the species of which eradication is being carried out within the LIFE medCLIFFS project.

Another stop will also be made in Lloret square (upper viewpoint of the guard tower) where it will be possible to see the adaptation of certain species to rough terrain such as cliffs, and we can easily identify at a glance invasive species such as Senecio angulatus, one of the most invasive species in the area and for which risk maps will be made within the project to identify the most sensitive areas to be invaded by this plant.
