Module of invasive flora and sustainable alternatives in gardening (Flora Catalana)

Start of the module “Flora invasora i alternatives sostenibles en jardineria” (invasive flora and sustainable alternatives in gardening) brought by Flora Catalana. This module is designed for those interested in botany, horticulture and gardening. It is a product derived from the LIFE medCLIFFS project which promotes a more sustainable way of gardening free of invasive plant species. It serves as an introduction to the most common species in our territory, the current trends and the alternatives provided as more responsible with the ecosystem.

This module will be online and streaming in Catalan.

It is divided into 3 videoconferences of 2h each and a field trip to Montjuïc where you will observe several common invasive plant species that escaped the gardens and that exemplify the environmental problem we are facing regarding urban green areas close to natural environments.

• Videoconference 2: 12th May 2025, 18:00 to 20:00 h.
• Field trip: 24th May 2025, 10:00 to 12:00 h.
• Videoconference 3: 26th May 2025, 18:00 to 20:00 h.
